Ready for the first patient of the morning
A dental patient spends the first few minutes in your waiting room looking around, and the next half hour reclined under a light looking up. Both views need to be spotless. Continental Facilities cleans your practice after the last patient leaves, so the hygienists open each operatory the next day to a room that is already reset, from the floor to the ceiling vents above the chair.
Your clinical team stays focused on patients and on their own between-appointment routine. Our evening crew takes care of everything that routine leaves for the end of the day.
Operatories cleaned the way your protocol reads
Each practice writes its own infection-control routine, and our crew checklist is built from yours. Operatory counters, cabinet fronts, sinks, light handles, chair bases, delivery-unit exteriors, stools and floors are worked through in the order your protocol lays out. Procedure rooms used for surgery or implants are handled the same way, and terminal cleaning is scheduled for any room your office wants returned to bare, fully disinfected surfaces.
Disinfectants are EPA-registered, and crews leave each one on the surface for the full contact time its label requires before wiping. Before a first shift in your office, each cleaner has finished HIPAA-aware training as well as bloodborne-pathogen safety training, so patient charts, schedules and screens are never read, moved or tidied away.
Sterilization, lab and imaging rooms
The sterilization area is the center of a dental office, and your team controls how it runs. Crews clean the counters, sinks, cabinet faces and floors there to your written instructions and leave equipment and instrument cassettes untouched where staff set them. The in-office lab, the panoramic and imaging rooms and the consult room are dusted, wiped down and mopped on the same plan. Lead aprons hang where your staff keeps them, and crews wipe the hooks and walls around them rather than moving them.
Floors in clinical rooms are usually sheet vinyl or tile. Nightly damp mopping keeps them clean, and periodic machine scrubbing and strip-and-refinish through our floor care team keep the finish bright under operatory lighting.
Reception, waiting room and patient restrooms
The front of the practice sets expectations. Crews clean entry glass and the check-in counter, wipe chair arms, children’s play corners and the coffee or water station, dust frames and displays, and vacuum or mop the waiting room. Patient restrooms are cleaned and restocked each night, and a staff room and lockers are covered on the same visit.
For practices that want it, our janitorial supplies program delivers hand soap, toilet tissue, paper towels and trash bags and installs dispensers, so restocking is one less item on the office manager’s list.
Dental practices from the Peninsula to Reno
Dental offices across our region sit in medical office buildings, neighborhood shopping centers, converted houses on busy streets and single-tenant buildings with their own parking. Group practices and specialists often run several locations across the Bay Area, the Sacramento region and Northern Nevada, and one service manager can keep every office on the same standard.
When your practice occupies a suite in a larger building, we clean inside the suite. When you own or lease the whole building, the plan can extend to the parking lot, entry walks and landscaping.
The building around the practice
Continental’s facility maintenance team handles the small fixes that are easy to put off: lamp replacement over the chairs, damaged ceiling tiles, faucet and toilet repairs, paint touch-ups and HVAC filter changes. Exterior care includes pressure washing of the entry and walkways and parking lot sweeping, so patients arrive at a front door that matches the care inside.
Building a cleaning plan for your office
Continental is insured and bonded, workers’ compensation covers its crews, and every practice is issued a certificate of insurance. Crew members are background-checked before they receive keys or alarm codes, and supervisors walk the operatories on quality inspections, sharing what they find with your office manager.
The plan starts with a visit after hours, when we review your protocol, count operatories and restrooms and note your hours and alarm routine. Your written quote lists nightly tasks, periodic floor and glass work and any exterior or maintenance items, priced from your operatory count, the office’s square footage and how many nights a week you see patients. If you add a hygienist chair or open a second location later, the plan grows by a line rather than starting over.
A few useful answers
Common questions.
Does your crew follow our infection-control protocol?
Yes. The checklist for operatories, procedure rooms and the sterilization area is written from your protocol, including the products, order of tasks and how often each room is cleaned.
Will cleaners look at patient records or screens?
No. Cleaners work under HIPAA-aware conduct rules, so charts, schedules, papers and monitors stay exactly as staff left them.
Which days do you clean if we are closed on Fridays?
Cleaning follows your calendar: crews come in the evening after each patient day, and a deeper clean can be set for the day the office is closed.
Can you strip and refinish the vinyl floors in our operatories?
Yes. Our floor care team scrubs and strip-and-refinishes vinyl and tile on a schedule, timed for a weekend or a closed day so chairs are back in place before patients return.
